Often, I dream of a colour and let it inspire me. The soft shade of powder pink that makes one think of lush kisses and the blush of young love – I wanted to convey these through images.
Sarah from Poppy Flora Studio and I imagined this graceful and refined shoot inspired by hues of pink. We went through a long creative process researching high quality vendors who could accurately portray our concept through styling and attention to the little details. We opted for a colour palette of shades of dusty red and light pink with touches of white for flowers and grey for dresses. The talented Emily of bespoke stationer Paper Tiger Press designed an invitation suite in shades of pink using watercolour and calligraphy.
Pink linen was used as ribbons for the unstructured bouquet, in which the colours of the scabiosas, alstroemerias and peonies, perfectly combined with the feathery texture of the astilbes. Sarah, the skilful floral designer of Poppy Flora Studio, styled the centerpiece with flowers in the clear holder, which was complemented by gorgeous tableware.
